Sex after baby part 2...more tips for creating first time again
💥💥💥magic 💥💥💥

2. Don’t skimp on the lube.

Since inevitably things things are different(a human being just came out of your vagina or abdomen!), approach sex like the first time again. But this time with a little more experience and knowledge about what you know will likely work well and what will likely not, given it’s not your first time.

Hence lube.

If you didn’t use lube your first time, more than likely you wished you did. Lubrication decreases friction which isn’t necessarily a bad thing later if it feels good but it let’s start slow here. Remember? We are figuring things out again.

After childbirth, estrogen decreases dramatically and can actually stay that way temporarily if you are breastfeeding. Low estrogen can (key word here can not will) lead to “drier climates”....Partners don’t panic and throw the breastfeeding pillow or pump out though!!!! 😂 🙅‍♀️This should very much be temporary and return to normal over the course of breastfeeding or once breastfeeding has come to a close.

So different yes, bad...doesn’t have to be! You just need to do a little “add back”. Again, especially in the beginning.

But, all lubes are not equal. There are water based silicone based and oils. How do you pick? 😱 well, if you have discussed a different birth control method than condoms with your doc, then I recommend coconut oil. Natural, gentle, smells pretty great too 🤷‍♀️ unless you don’t like coconut 🥥 I guess or if u or your partner are creeped out by food items in your bedroom 😉To each their own. As far as commercial based lubricants go @astroglideofficial is a great one(and this is fine if using condoms- in which case please use lube!!! as more friction expected!).

You may wonder what the difference may be?? The goal is finding a gentle one that doesnt leave the user (shall we say)....irritated....because then she will be irritated at you, or sex - and we can’t have that! Partners, goal is to keep this as pain free as possible in the beginning to keep us coming back for more!

Stay tuned for more tips…
